The 2025 ITF Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) — Taiwan’s largest travel exhibition — will take place from November 7 (Fri.) to November 10 (Mon.) at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. This year’s ITF gathers exhibitors from 123 countries and cities, featuring over 40 major travel agencies, more than 130 hotels, restaurants, airlines, and theme parks, with a total of 1,600 booths. At today’s pre-show press conference (Nov.4), Ms. Yeh Chu-lan, Chairperson of the ITF Organizing Committee; Ms. Chien Yu-yen, Chairperson of the Taiwan Visitors Association (TVA); and Ms. Chen Yu-hsiu, Director-General of the Tourism Administration, MOTC, joined foreign ambassadors from Saint Kitts and Nevis, Belize, Guatemala, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, along with representatives from central and local governments, to unveil the fair’s highlights and exclusive deals.

TVA President Chien Yu-yen noted that this year’s ITF has expanded in scale, with 100 more booths than last year, and continues to attract strong participation from partners in Japan, Korea, the United States, Thailand, and Malaysia. The 2025 theme “In Travel, We Believe” emphasizes travel as not only a way to see the world, but also a journey of self-reflection and inner renewal. Many agencies are offering pilgrimage-themed tours to destinations such as Spain, France, Israel, Tibet, and Japan, while Taiwan’s own Mazu Pilgrimage is highlighted as a unique expression of the island’s spiritual and cultural vibrancy. Chien also remarked that Taiwan’s tourism industry is embracing AI tour guides, smart navigation, and multisensory travel products integrating light, sound, and scent reflecting a wave of innovation transforming the travel experience.

ITF Chairperson Yeh Chu-lan emphasized that ITF has grown into Asia’s largest tourism exhibition and trade platform, drawing international participation and showcasing the vitality of the global travel sector. She pointed out that while Taiwan’s population is around 23 million, in 2024 there were 16.85 million outbound trips and 220 million domestic trips, with domestic tourism expenditure exceeding NT$500 billion, clear evidence that Taiwan is a true “tourism powerhouse.” The scale of outbound and domestic demand continues to attract international tourism boards and industry partners seeking collaboration with Taiwan. Yeh encouraged Taiwanese travelers to visit diplomatic allies and friendly nations, deepening cross-cultural exchange. Domestically, emerging themes such as agritourism, Hakka village experiences, sports tourism, and cultural travel highlight Taiwan’s creative and diversified offerings. She warmly invited the public to experience ITF.
