Applications for Taipei ITF 2010 Will Be Accepted Starting March 1

Special Discounts When Making Payment before May 31

Taipei ITF, guided by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, assisted by the Tourism Bureau, and organized by the Taiwan Visitors Association, was first held 24 years ago and will be held in 2010 for the 18th time. It is Asia’s most important and Taiwan’s largest professional and international travel fair. This year the fair is scheduled for the time from November 5 (Friday) to November 8 (Monday) and will take place at Exhibition Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Exhibition Center. Apart from the main exhibition event, there will also be a press conference prior to the fair, a travel mart, product presentations, a travel seminar, cultural performances on a central stage, lucky draw activities, and much more. Taipei ITF promises to be a hot topic for international and local media and all people who love traveling.

Last year’s (2009) Taipei ITF was a great success, satisfying local and foreign exhibitors and trade visitors as well as consumers. A total of 809 organizations/companies from 58 countries/regions around the world were represented at 1,206 exhibitions booths. The 4-day event drew a massive crowd of 210,752 visitors, including 19,987 trade visitors. The travel products presented by local and foreign exhibitors were well received by the public, and sales figures were surprisingly high during difficult times for the industry. The fair was well and positively covered by electronic and print media which focused on on-site reports. In total, there were more than 1,500 reports about the fair, showing the great potential of Taiwan’s tourism market and the astonishing purchasing power of the consumers.

The organizers urge exhibitors again to complete the application formalities as soon as possible to avoid missing out on this precious business opportunity. From March 1 AM9:00 applications for the 2010 Taipei ITF are accepted on the official website of Taipei ITF (www.taipeiitf.org.tw). Exhibitors who attended Taipei ITF before can use their original account and pass word to log in, and those who pay before May 31 enjoy special discounts. In order to protect the interests of consumers, according to regulations all exhibitors (including those who share exhibition space) must be legally established organizations. Hotel and guesthouse operators must provide a hotel or guesthouse registration, and exhibitors who wish to sell any type of vouchers must comply with the regulations regarding the standardization of product (service) vouchers issued by tourist hotels and other related regulations.

During times, when doing business is increasingly challenging, effective advertising is more important than ever for businesses of the tourism industry. Taipei ITF is therefore a travel fair not to be missed. Let’s all work together to create a prosperous future!
